Some ponies come into this world already knowing the upper levels are waiting for them — and Grafitti Hoejgaard, known simply as Graffiti, is exactly that kind of pony. A striking buckskin mare of German Riding Pony breeding, born in April 2016 to the distinguished GP Montedo Hoejgaard and the lovely Gratia B, she carries her golden coat and her ambitions with equal elegance.
Graffiti is the sort of pony that trainers dream of — exceptionally fun to ride, happy in her work, and in possession of a natural talent that reaches toward the upper levels as if she were always meant to be there. When flying changes were introduced, she learned them not in weeks of patient repetition but in days, as though the movement had been waiting inside her all along, needing only the right moment to emerge.
She now graces the warm Florida sunshine with an ambitious Young Rider, the two of them ascending the levels together with confidence and joy. Her trainer is poised to debut Graffiti at her first FEI classes, and if the tempis she has been polishing are any indication, the judges had better prepare to be impressed. Graffiti is not a pony who arrives quietly.
